Hi, I’m Joss and I am excited to be working with you all at this point in time as the Board and Parish collaborate on the next stage of service to our community.
I’ve been involved with SJOS since December 2021 when I started as a Gardening volunteer – Trish, the Gardening leader, and I met during our times in Financial Services soon after I moved to Melbourne from Brisbane in 2001.
On a career front, I have worked in construction materials, financial services, and most recently international trade promotion for the NZ government. My focus has almost always been small to medium businesses seeking growth in their sectors.
More personally, I am a single mum with an 18 year old son who is my raison d’etre. He is just starting his apprenticeship and looking forward to building his future.
Looking forward, for SJOS, I will be aiming to adequately fill the gap left by our amazing Bernadette Dennis – handling relationships with our property manager (Launch Housing) and our food donors, as well as working closely with the SJOS Volunteer Coordinator, Toni Stuart, to support our incredible cohort of volunteers.
